While adding -(e)s look carefully at the final letter of a verb. It hepls to understand whether to use -es or just -s is enough in Present Simple.
- ending in consonant:
- drink - drinks
- swim - swims
- talk - talks
- ending in -e:
- love - loves
- move - moves
- practise - practises
- ending in -ch, -tch, -sh, -ss, -x (-es is pronounced as /iz/):
- teach - teaches
- watch - watches
- wish - wishes
- ending in -y:
- try - tries
- fry - fries
- cry - cries
- play - plays
- annoy - annoys
- convey - conveys
- ending in -o:
- go - goes
- do - does
- echo - echoes
